Check your interlock cable
by: Chris

When you turn the ignition switch a cable moves and allows the shifter to move out of park. This cable runs through the center console behind the heater controls. You can see from the picture on the left side of the of the center tunnel a cable that runs up to the key. Thats what you need to take a look at and verify that its moving whe the key is turned to the run position. If its not you will need to replace with C5 Corvette ACDelco 12561688 GM Original Equipment Automatic Transmission Control Lever Cable
