I have a 1984 corvette that I rescued from a field out behind a barn. I've been slowly bringing it back to life.
I cannot get the windshield wipers to work. The mice had chewed the wiring of the digital dash so badly that I ended up replacing the dash pod with mechanical gauges. The wiring diagram I have says the wiper system is grounded through the dash harness. I tried to ground the wiper harness directly, bypassing the dash harness, but it instantly blows a fuse. If I check continuity on the switch it seems to be fine and I have power to the motor in the right places.
Is there a way to wire the wipers directly, or a different system I can retro fit into the car.
Thanks for any help.

He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
