Want to purchase 1995 corvette?

Have person wants to sell me 1995 corvette with 116,0000 miles. What is the worst th I ng that could happen. Seller asking $10,000.00 have had mechanic take a look sees no major problems.

Never owned corvette always wanted one the wife says she will put up half of purchase price. Did own mercedes 560 SL.

Again, what's the worst thing? I know out $10,000.00.
