Vin number

Looking to buy a 61 seems to be a problem with the paper work. The vin number shows 13 digets not 12. There is a 3 that doesn't seem to belong there. Hopefully its a typo ???? (108637S105871)

Not sure if this designates a problem IE a flood car or something ???

The serial should read 10867S not 108637S. I have owned a 61 vette new and still have the paper work.
