Vette wont start or come out of park ! HELP

1972 VETTE KEY CLICKS OVER OVER BUT PULLS OUT LIKE THE PROBLEM IS A BAD KEY SWITCH. THE CAR IS BURIED IN GARAGE CAN'T GET IT INTO NEUTRAL. CAN THIS BE THE KEY SWITCH, ONLY ! ? KEY DOESN'T RETURN, SPRING IS NOT WORKING. WHEN i PUT THE KEY IN OR WITHOUT IT AND HOLD THE SWITCH IN, THE AUTOMATIC GEAR SWITCH STILL WONT MOVE TO, HELP PLEASE.
