Steering

While driving my corvette over uneven asphalt roads, it kind of loses it's direction and I then have to give it a quick jerk to bring it back at it's original position, straight foward.

The car also shakes at over 115 kl an hour. I've noticed that my steering column coupler shaft is kind of loose. When I grab hold of it and move in a forward and backward motion it shakes as though a bearing or something was worn out, "not tight".

Could someone please tell mew if that could be the cause of my vehicles vibration or loss of direction, pulling left or right.

Ball joints have been changed, wheel bearings are ok, brakes are new and so are the dics and there is nothing else that is loose under the car.

If I install a new Steering Column coupler shaft, would that change anything?

Please advise. Thank you.
