1970, Signals and brake lights worked when I pulled in for front end alignment. While on align rack brakes were on for 2 hrs while they did alignment. I guess the fixture to lock steering wheel straight during alignment attached to brake pedal. I saw the B lights on. I drove out with neither. checked continuity at brake sw and flasher. both are good. There is power from fuse block, and power coming from orange wire to brake sw. Tried jumping orange to white.. made sparks like dead short. I have power to purple wire flasher..Fuses are good but filaments are bowed. Never seen anything like this..changed them. What happened? Did something overheat or melt? Where is the ground connection to chassis on this system? Is the brown wire the ground to the rear cross member?
Thanks,Pete 1970 L46

"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
