shift out of neutral is hard, also 2-3 for an automatic. Had carb. rebuilt and mechanic said this could cause the hard shift. Sounds strange to me.

Corvette, been sitting for while. It belonged to a deceased brother who gave to me. Don't know to start with the carb. or transmission first.

Comments for shift out of neutral is hard, also 2-3 for an automatic. Had carb. rebuilt and mechanic said this could cause the hard shift. Sounds strange to me.

If it was me, i would start with the carb . Once i got it running right then you can deal with the trans.
Is it auto or straight shift?If it's auto before you go shifting it a lot i would drain it and change the filter.and new fluid in it ,but that is
up to you . Good luck.
