Runs for short time then dies

I've been having this problem on my '92 for 2 years now. Thought a couple times I had fixed it. It will run fine for 2 or 3 months then all of a sudden will die or not start. Sometimes it can sit a couple days and will start back, ssometimes takes a couple months. It looses spark. Have replaced distributor.
