Replacement Tires For 1990 Corvette

I have a 1990 Corvette with the original Good year Eagle tires on it that need replacing. I was wondering what tires other Corvette owners have recently installed and whether they would recommend them.
Also, are there certain tires to stay away from?

I have a '92 base coupe. Decided to try Sumitomo with the V-sipe pattern P275/40ZR17. I have same size front and rear on the factory "sawblade" style aluminum wheels. Ride is compliant, quieter than the Eagles. Great dry handling and grip, but diminishes a tad when wet, and more when temps below freezing. Cost was reasonable at $85 ea. They seem to be wearing well under mostly highway use, I'd get them again.

I just put a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 all season tires on my 1990 Corvette and they are wonderful. Less road noise and better handling.
