REDUCED ENGINE POWER

by Lis
(Beaufort, SC )

Hello, I have a 1998 C5 and today I washed my car, and also the engine with it running left it running for a while about 15 mins then turned it off to dry the rest of the car when I went to start it up. I got the reduced engine power light.

These are the codes I got from the computer P1220 HC, P1221, P1571 AND C1278H.

Can you tell me whats wrong with it and how to fix it please.

Thank you very much

Water

Looks like from your codes you may have gotten water in the Throttle position sensor. Your best bet will be to take the connector off and dry it off with a blow drier or compressed air. Reset your codes and that should be a good first step please come back and let us know what you find out either way!
