Red leather

by Rocky Byers
(Carrollton, TX)

I have 9k miles on my C7 and my red leather seats are absorbing the blue out of my blue jeans. The local chev. store says "their is nothing that they can do, no warranty on seats turning blue. Is that a known problem ?

Yes very common, every car with leather seats has this issue. Warranty will not cover wear unfortunately.

Yes, it's magic as in Magic Eraser! This stuff is no joke. Check it out here if you have never heard of it!Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Original, 4 Count.
Chances are you probably already have some laying around the house. Get it a little damp and rub it on your seats like a sponge with a touch of elbow grease and it will be as good as new. Badass is what we would call it! What's not badass are Dealerships. If they can't make money, forget about it.

After that's cleaned up, find a nice seat cover if one exists. We have not found one yet that meets our standards! You can use a nice color free towel to protect the seat or change your jeans before you get into your car to something more relaxing. We know it's a shame to cover up those seats!

Please come back and let us know how the seats turned out. We love pictures if you've got the skills. If you don't that's ok too. You're still awesome in our book! Of course you are here and you had us at Corvette.
