Decided to do a thorough cleaning of the air conditioning outlets on my 1986 Corvette. I removed everything; and I do mean everything, including taking the louvers apart. Folks be warned; if you ever take these apart be ready to get a helping hand to assist you in the re-assembly process. And before you start taking them apart make sure to take medium and close up pictures, both front and back. Believe me, you will be referencing them later. After I finally figured out the mechanical aspect of the adjustable louver, I was able to remount it inside the housing, but then I came across another problem. The back plate, the vertical louver that keeps the adjustable horizontal louvers in place. That part also has one way to snap into place on the housing, the problem is with trying to find which end is up. Looking at the back side of the louver, one end is oval and the other has these pointed ends. So I need your help figuring out which end is up for this part. I hope this makes sense and thanks in advance for your help.

He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
