radio issue

by Diane
(New York)

I have a 1998 and the drivers side of the radio (speaker) goes on and off when I hit a bump with just the passenger side playing. The speakers have been replaced and it still does the same thing. We're stumped on what it could be. Thank you!!

Speakers
by: Corvette web central

Sounds like, huh a joke! Just kidding that maybe the Amp is bad or you have a broken wire in the door hinge wiring bundle area. Its been awhile since we have done stereo stuff on a C5 but we are almost positive that the Bose system uses amps for each speaker. They are near the speaker from what we recall. Not for sure so please do more research and so will we before you start ripping the car apart!
