radio blowing fuse on tight turns or bad bump

the fuse for the radio blows on tight turns or on bad bumps. the heads up will work while the wire is still shorted out. when the short stops, the heads up MPH #'s will be very erratic. Only then can I replace the fuse.
Is this a common problem or do I just have to start chasing wires?
