C5 Corvette Manual Trans to Differential Mounting Seals

Is it possible for the differential fluid to enter the 6 spd tranny on a 99 C5.
If diff fluid were to mix with tranny fluid what would this cause?

As you can see in the picture the transmission seals have a drain hole that indicates failure when you see it seeping on the floor. But if the metal housing is cracked that separates the transmission fluid from the differential you would never see a leak on the floor and the two fluids would mix.

We have never heard of this being a problem in the past. It could be possible but not likely unless something more severe then a bad seal. Possibly a crack. Are you seeing this as a problem? If so its curious that you don't see fluid on the floor. Please let us know what you see.
