Oversize wheels and tires for a 1995 vette

I recently purchased a 95 c4 vette. The car actually had the original tires on the car.(31,000miles) I would like to put some aftermarket rims with new tires but am unsure what size combination will work. I have read that if the tire size offset is to much the abs and asr light will come on. I want to make sure i don't waste my money by making the wrong choice. Thanks
