Noisy rear end

'07 Vette. LS2, 6spd auto w/paddle shift. 23K miles. When car come to a halt, a noise in the rear end as though it had bad universal joints. Noise when car seems to downshift itself, especially in 1st gear. Help. Dealer says they all make that noise. WTH?

Problem resolved. Loose pan under car.
