I attempted to crank my 2004 corvette and it would not turnover. When I turned the key in the ignition all I got was click. I attempted to crank it twice with the same result. This is the original battery. I opened the hood to look at the battery and minutes afterward hear a noise coming from the rear of the car. It sounded like the fuel pump was trying to cycle. Is it possible that the fuel pump would do this with a near dead battery after attempting to crank the car? I did lift the negative terminal lead in an attempt to prevent any potential damage. Whatever it was doing stopped and then started again before I completed lifting the negative lead. Anyone heard of this before or know why it may have happened? Any potential damage as a result?
Established in 2008 by Chris Trautman, Corvette Web Central quickly grew into one of the top leading Corvette enthusiast websites globally.
"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
