I have a 78 vette, I replaced t-tops and the door glass weatherstripping. before the weather stripping was torn etc from people breaking into the car I guess the glass just flew up and down. now with doors open they still go up and down fine but with doors closed the glass looks like it digs in and leaves 4 inches. If windows are up and shut the door the glass won't go down. I can hear the motor trying but open door and it just flies down. I tried to have them adjusted they told me all the rollers were worn inside doors. I replaced them, cleaned and regreased tracks. the same thing. Now when I was in auto body school, I was told if one put petroleum grease on the weatherstripping and shut doors over winter it would "break down" the foam enough so the glass would "preform" the foam and would then slide up against it. That hasn't worked so far and the tracks are out as far as they can go. Help. thanks
Established in 2008 by Chris Trautman, Corvette Web Central quickly grew into one of the top leading Corvette enthusiast websites globally.
"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
