My security alarm won't quit on my 1987 Corvette.

I have never had a problem with my security alarm on my 1987 Corvette. Recently I started it up and backed it out of the garage and left it idling in the driveway while I dusted it off. I opened the door to get in and the security alarm horn started going off. It would not quit. I turned it off and restarted it with my usual ignition key. I went inside and got my spare key and tried it. It just kept going off. I finally disconnected both horns under the hood. That stopped the noise but I could hear the clicking going off inside the dashboard so I knew I had a problem. Everytime I open either door the clicking starts. It does finally quit, so I'm not running the battery down. What can I do to fix this problem. The car is inside a garage all year and it only has 79,000 miles on it.

SECURITY ALARM

PUT YOUR KEY IN THE DIVERS DOOR AND LOCK AND UNLOCK THE DOOR. THE ALARM SHOULD STOP. IF IT DOES NOT STOP TRY THE PASSENGER DOOR AND DO THE SAME.
