My 88' corvette wont start when engine is cold

My corvette has problems starting when cold but once I get it started works just fine. I've heard that this year the vettes came with a cold starter valve wich causes this I've also heard theres a chip that could delete the cold start valve. Does anybody know where I could buy this chip and how to install it? I appreciate it thanks!
