My 1976 corvette stingray sputters

My 76 corvette starts fine drives great until you try to give it some hard acceleration then it sputters and eventually stalls and after a few minutes it will start back up . Replaced the fuel pump changed all spark plugs and still the Same problem.. any ideas?
