Missing kickdown for 72

I recently purchased an automatic 72 vette and determined that the kickdown function on the tranny is not working. It has the Turbo Hydramatic transmission. I do not see a kickdown cable going to the Rochester 4 barrel carb. I looked under the car to see if I could see any extra cables coming out of the tranny, but didn't find any. Any suggestions?
