Purchased a used DIC on ebay. looking for a way to validate it works before ripping out the IPC or paying someone to do it which is in the area of $500.

Unfortunately, there is no way to test the DIC removed from the car. The component operates on a serial bus with 5-volt inputs. Attached is a wiring diagram for reference.
