Simpson Chevrolet in Irvine, CA seems to have a good tune up team, but I can never speak to the guys that turn the wrenches. I'd prefer to speak directly to the mechanic that is performing the tune up. The service writers act as a go-between the mechanic and the car owner. I would like a recommendation to a good C-5 mechanic that can tell me directly what he has done and perhaps offer advice for a light upgrading to overall performance. The last Chevrolet engine I worked on was a .283 bored out to a .301 cubic inches with a bigger four barrel carb and a hi-lift cam.
Times have changed. I'm old, but not too old to like going fast and sliding a bit in the corners. My current ride is a Z06 built in 2004; the last of the
C-5s. If you know good C-5 wrench I'd like to know who he is and why you like him.
Thanks for reading...

Established in 2008 by Chris Trautman, Corvette Web Central quickly grew into one of the top leading Corvette enthusiast websites globally.
"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
