lcd help

I have a 1992 C4 and i live in Texas My LCD only works when the veh sits outside with the windows up and the interior gets hot after the car sits overnight and cools off the display doesn't show speed or anything. can you tell me where to turn to next? Oh i have already replaced the connector on the LCD and did the restoration on the screen.
