How many miles does the car have? What year? Do you know the history of the car? It may be possible the propshaft has a bearing going bad or rubber bushing that is worn. Might not hurt to double check the harmonic balancer as those have a habit of coming off the engine also. If the car has had any engine or transmission removals would help to narrow down the list of potential problems. Check the flexplate for defects or missing teeth. All of these are places to start looking.
