Hello,
I am trying to install a driver side mirror on my 74 corvette to replace a non correct one. My issue lies in the fact that the original door holes are not visible (replacement panel maybe). I have a template that I used from my passenger side door, I just flipped it around for placement of mirror, but when I drilled my small guide holes I am hitting something and can't get through the panel. I have not take the interipr door panel off but my guess is it is the reinforcement bar I am hitting. Does anyone know the measurements for the holes and where they would be? My thought was that if the bar is there I can use the holes to mount the mirror without well nuts.

He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
