Speed Increase.
by: R.Bradley

Well, it depends on what you are really asking for. But as I have found. Most things come with sacrifices. Are you looking for a faster top end or a strong bottom end. When you say speed. Some would automatically be refering to HP. Depending on what trans.and engine you have you probably do not need to add horsepower. The most logical thing would be to figure out what rear end you have. 3.08 rears were installed in a lot of base models and have good top end but are gut-less off the start. Mine is the opposite. I have a tire boiling monster but I hit 55 and that's it. My RPM's are so wound its stupid. So look at the rear end ratio and find out what it is first. Research high top end Vs. Torquey low end and descide based on what kind of driving you do. (i.e. just around town or lots of highway.)Then find a mechanic you trust and have him install a middle of the road ratio. But remember. Gas is expensive!
