My 87 has recently experienced problems with the idle. It ill go for days/weeks running, starting and idling fine. Then for no apparent reason, the car won;t stay idling on it;s own. It will require a fair amount of pedal to start it and the gas pedal must be slightly depressed at all times to keep the car from dying. Once in motion and pedal applied, all seems to be fine and there are no adverse running symptoms. However, coming to a stop, it will die unless you double pedal it. This may last for a day or two and then will revert to normal operation again. It does not seem to be weather related nor related to the temperatures of the car/engine. Any thoughts out there on what could be the problem?
Established in 2008 by Chris Trautman, Corvette Web Central quickly grew into one of the top leading Corvette enthusiast websites globally.
"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
