Brake Bleeder

A power bleeder can help in situations like these. If you are certain that all components are in good working order you are fighting a suborn air bubble that is trapped. Mityvac MV6835 Vacuum Brake Bleeding Kit

I have a 1978 which had the same problem. I ended up replacing the disterbution valve connecting the master cylinderto the front and back brake lines. Now I have plenty of pressure and no soft peddle.
