I just bought a 1997 Corvette with the intention on replacing the transmission due to second and fourth gears not engaging. I have a little over 120K miles on it. Doing a little research I am getting more confused with the information provided on the forums, etc. In the beginning I bought I just needed to rebuild the transmission but now I am starting to think that the problem could simply be maintenance--more specifically transmission oil change and or differential?
I just have not read any comments specifically to the issues that I here present.
Established in 2008 by Chris Trautman, Corvette Web Central quickly grew into one of the top leading Corvette enthusiast websites globally.
"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
