I changed to new batteries in my keyless entry system and nothing happens

by Greg

as my doors will not lock nor my trunk will pop up when I use the keyless entry system.

The dealer believes it is a remote sensor. How remote is this sensor and where is it located so that I can save a few bucks.

Resync FOB

Any time the battery is disconnected you need to resync your key FOB by pressing LOCK and UNLOCK at the same time until the horn chirps.

New Batteries in the Keyless Entry System
by: Anonymous

The trunk, doors, and everything else associated with the keyless entry system was not working once the batteries were replaced.

Took the car into the dealer and had them reprogram the keyless entry system and there are no more problems.

Thank you all for helping me out.

Greg.

After the battery replacement did you reprogram the Key FOB. The next place to check is the DTC codes. Bring up the DTC procedures and scroll down to the BOFA I believe. You can look here on this site for the instructions. If it says no Comm you may have a problem.
