HVAC blower motor keeps running after ignition switch turned off

I have owned my 95 C4 for 7 years. started up after being stored for the winter ,ran well ,I let it warm up then shut off the ignition and could still hear the heater motor running!! i started the engine back up and touched all the heater controls ,no change, fan speed, temp adjusted, nothing would change !! the fan was on high and stayed that way until i unplugged the AC under the hood on the firewall! it has never done this before !! any suggestions?
