hud will not raise high enough to see over dash....seems to be out of adjustment

Hud on 2004 c5 corvette coupe will not raise high enough to see over the dashboard. It looks like it is not installed properly on dashboard. .. off sets aboutan inch... how can I resolve this issue

I'm sure he meant it won't raise high enough TO BE SEEN OVER THE DASH.
Since I have the same problem I'd like to know what exactly caused the issue and how it was corrected. Thanks.
