This is my first Corvette although I've owned more than 60 car's (nice car's and trucks) in my 60+ years of experience.
I bought a beautiful, one owner 2003 convertible. He took very good care of it and had the service receipts and car fax report to prove it. The car runs great but I'm concerned about a few things given the miles. It has 160,000 miles on it although you wouldn't know it to look at or drive the car. I'm wondering if I should change out the injectors and coil packs. Like I said it runs really strong but the tail pipe tips are a little black even after I clean them when I wash the car. It doesn't seem to use any oil but I think the milage could do a little better. Now I'm embarrassed to ask this but I want to install a new re-programing kit in the transmission like I did to a Van I have with the same transmission. I really like the way it shifts and it gave me more milage on top of it. But there doesn't seem to be a way of putting transmission fluid back into it after I drop the pan and install the kit. Maybe I'm loosing it but without a dipstick what do you do? Any other things that you might think I should do to this High milage beauty please feel free to tell me. I'm going to go through the car bumper to bumper so to speak but I've never had experience with the LS1 and any quirps it may have. Thanks in advance for your time and help. Sincerely Tony.
Established in 2008 by Chris Trautman, Corvette Web Central quickly grew into one of the top leading Corvette enthusiast websites globally.
"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
