Headlight continues to move

Hello, When I turn off my C% 2000 corvette, the driver side headlight continues to move up and down for about 15 sections. I see that the gear continue to move while the left side does not. I replaced the gears a few months back because the plastic ones were grinding and there was no issue. All of a sudden, when I flip the light on and then turn them off, one continues to move up and down and when it stops the headlight housing stays at that point
