Fuel pump doesn't work - 85 Vette

Changed it last year...have driven several times over the summer and had the fuel filter changed. Took it on a short drive (2 miles), stopped for 10 minutes and it doesn't engage. I changed it again...still doesn't seem to work. Changed the fuel pump relay and it still doesn't work. The FP fuze is good...any help out there?
