1992 coupe
I have learned a great deal during ownership of my '92 coupe, combed the blogs for help with issues,(Bose, ride control, loose driver door panel) found a great garage for repairs, made new friends at shows, joined NCRS, and the Corvette Museum, to name a few.
I have 2 questions, if anyone can share with me I would appreciate it. First, regarding restoring the factory machined sawblade wheels, is it feasible to strip the clearcoat off and maintain them with quality aluminum polish? Mine are peeling a bit now. Second, I have sumitomo tires with the V sipe pattern, tire grip is not so great in wet/cool weather. I drive year round, (but not in snow/ice), what tires do others recommend, for better performance? Should I go back to the Eagles? Thanks for any input. S.
Established in 2008 by Chris Trautman, Corvette Web Central quickly grew into one of the top leading Corvette enthusiast websites globally.
"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
