Excessive Cabin Heat

I Have a 1986 C4 Convertible (Indy 500) that the AC doesn't work..not a problem, but the problem is that only hot air comes from all vents and there is a tremendous amount of heat reflecting directly from the plastic cover right over my feet (driver side). Almost to hot to the touch. Please help.
