Electric water pump

I have a 75 corvette. three fifty engine with no air conditioning. 400 plus horse power. I would like to put an electronic water pump. They say that its easy to install. I was wondering if I need brackets or adapters. I hear people telling me that I do. If so which ones are they. Do I stick with the 35 gpm water pump or go with a higher gpm?
