Wanting to change leaky water pump on my 1996 but have been reading about peoples problems in doing so. Looking at it, it seems rather easy but so have some of the other projects I have tackled that have turned out to be a pain in the butt. Holiday weekend would be nice to get it done and go cruisin. Any suggestions other than wait till Tuesday?

by: Duane

Well after much debate and a video, I still have up on You Tube,( which I would recommend) Water pump replacement on LT1 or LT4, I proceeded to remove the water pump. The scariest thing was the water left in the block when trying to remove the pump. Didnt want to mess up the opti spark Picked up the pump, some thread sealer and water pump and thermostat housing gasket sealer. Replaced temp sensor and put gaskets on. Ran out of light try to finish tomorrow, I hope. Stay tuned.
