dash wiring harness

Yesterday I posted that I could not figure out where a wire went on the new dash wire harness on my 1969. I took a pic yesterday, so here it is. Can anyone help me determine where it goes?

Reverse engineer
by: Anonymous

I would suggest reverse engineering it to see what it powers or is used for. First check for power and ground using an ohmmeter and voltmeter. With the key on check all wires for power with the voltmeter. After words check for ground continuity with the ohmmeter. If you have no power with a ground its possible that this is a switch circuit for an item on the vehicle. It is also possible that this plug is not used since the wiring harnesses are generalized for all options. You car may not have the options installed and thus the plug is not used. For reference black or white wires are generally grounds.
