Car breaks down, spits and sputters @ 4000-5000 RPM

Car breaks down, spits and sputters @ 4000-5000 RPM. My 1966 Corvette 327/ 350 HP, AC plugs, points ignition .... I think problem is either gas, ignition or plugs. New XL points with only 75 miles, balance of parts all new since 3000 mile rebuild. Has anyone ever used Bosch Platinum Plugs with these motors? Car runs fine normally unless you lean on it somewhat aggressively. What are best plugs recommended to run and plug gap? Plugs in car now are AC.
