C1 Battery drain while driving

(New Braunfels Texas)

* 1961 Corvette (just Bought)was a frame off most everything new
* Has new Battery,Regulator,rebuilt Gen ... pulled both and had diagnostics run.. Good
* Disconnected positive battery strap while running and car keeps running
* Drive 20 minutes and turn car off and battery is to weak to start?
Please help.!!!
