Break booster replaced now headlights no going up

I found out the brake booster in my 81 Corvette was leaking air when I pushed the pedal so I replaced it and the master cylinder. Now the brakes are working good but now my headlights won't go up. How long does it take to build up enough vacuum to operate the lights and is there anything I should check. Any help would be appreciated
