A/C Issue

98 Vette - A/C module display does not work. Also the DRIVER temp control knob appears broken. It will go in either direction and does not stop like the passenger control which stops about the 7 oclock position. A/C that comes out of passenger vents is 8-10 degrees colder than what comes out of the driver vents. I can tell when the A/C is in AUTO or RECIRCULATE OR FRESH since those are different controls. Is this a charging problem? ground problem that keeps the A/C module screen to display and why is the air temp different coming out of driver and passenger sides?
