99 C5 owner

I have a 99 C5 that has not been driven for a while. When I start it and let it run everything is good. When I take off the ABS and Traction Control lights come on and the monitor says service ABS system and Traction Control System. Has anyone had this problem and can you give me some ideas on what to do to correct it. I put new set of brakes on it but it didnt help. I unplugged the sensors and checked them for corrosion and plugged them back up. I also checked all the fuses. Please help!
