I can run my 77 Corvette for 20-30 minutes then it starts to miss or hunt. It is still drivable while the car is doing this, it just drops slightly in power. I have checked the fuel filter and pump and they seem to be fine. I put new plugs in and it didn't make any difference. Carburetor is clean with no leaks. Since this miss has started the idle seems to be a bit higher at 1000 rpm. Also, when the car is hot it takes a lot more cranking to start it (about 4-5 seconds). It has electronic ignition so I'm starting to lean toward a problem inside the distributor? Can someone help please.
Established in 2008 by Chris Trautman, Corvette Web Central quickly grew into one of the top leading Corvette enthusiast websites globally.
"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
